Event #1
The Study Abroad fair took place in the Great Room on the 13th of september, and I decided to go check it out even though study abroad was very far ahead in the future for me.
It was already packed with people, and I spotted various stations with different countries being advertised with the programs they offered. I went around and spoke to many people, asking about the programs they offered to see if there were any possible ones. I was mostly interested in ones related to neuroscience and medicine, and was actually surprised by the abundance of them.
I found courses most interesting in The Netherlands and Scotland. The one in The Netherlands was at the University of Amsterdam, and offered a course in medicinal research. I also liked the course at Scotland, which provided a course in neuroscience. It even included weekly trips to neighbouring places like Denmark and Germany. Another one that caught my eye was marine biology at Athens.
I really liked the fair, and look forward to going again next year and starting to more concretely decide where I was interested in going.
